We are born in the North as the Divine Child of the Great Goddess at Yule. We come of age in the Northeast with the stirrings of adulthoods at Imbolc. We are reborn spiritually in the east at Initiation and are married in the Southeast like the lord and Lady of Beltane. Like the Sun at Midsummer, we reach our Middle years in the South, and consecrate the harvest of our lives at Lammas in the Southwest. In the West our bodies begin to wither as we sip the wine of spirit in Autumn, and join the ancestors in Caer Arianrod in the Northwest at Samhaintide, but the wheel turns only Sunwise and never stops. The dance of life continues and we are born anew, like the winter sun at Yule. (from The Pagan Wheel of Life).
